It's no secret that we're big fans of blending form and function at Ruffian, and this stylish mechanic jacket is taking a double podium in both classes. It's our love letter to all the builders out there (and was specifically requested by our own shop crew), and is the perfect piece to take you from the garage to a night out.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL

The base is made of 100% cotton twill in a silver-ish color, which is lighter and less stiff than canvas, but with the strength you'd expect from your favorite denim jacket. It breaks in quickly and gets better every time you wear it (which we expect you'll be doing frequently). The inside is lined with a black 100% cotton jersey material, so it's breathable without sacrificing comfort.

The black and red stripes down the left breast are a nod to vintage racing jackets of the '60s, as are the embroidered patches on the left sleeve which proudly display the US and checkered flags. "RUFFIAN RACING" is boldly embroidered in black thread across the shoulders, for those you leave in the dust.

And, as with all Red X Thread designs, you'll find their namesake red stitching along the back collar for a truly iconic look.

  • YKK heavy duty zipper with brass finish and extra "TOW" silicone pull (video guide to swapping out the zipper pull is the last thumbnail in the pictures provided)

In order to best determine fit, we advise comparing our garment’s measurements to a similar garment you already own. Lay your garment flat and take all measurements from the outside of the garment.

Hats are generally one size fits most, with adjustable closures to customize snugness.

Garment Care

While durable for machine wash, we suggest washing inside out, cold (60°-80°F), and laying flat to dry.

Hats are not washing machine-friendly! Please only use a damp cloth to keep it spiffy.
