Composites & Body Technician

Ruffian Cars designs and builds high-performance custom vehicles inspired by racing. Our projects combine modern engineering, composite materials, fabrication, paint, and craftsmanship to create one-of-a-kind cars that perform as well as they look.

We're looking for a skilled Composites & Body Technician to help develop composite components, molds, and tooling while also supporting bodywork, paint preparation, and vehicle finishing.

Responsibilities

• Perform bodywork and surface development of plugs, including shaping, filling, blocking, and finishing.
  
• Prepare plugs, molds, tooling, and materials for composite part production.
  
• Execute composite layup, vacuum bagging, resin infusion, bonding, and assembly operations.
  
• Trim, fit, finish, and inspect composite components to dimensional and cosmetic requirements.
  
• Troubleshoot, repair, and improve composite molds and finished parts.
  
• Assist with body panel alignment, panel gaps, surface preparation, and paint-related tasks.
  
• Support paint booth operations including masking, prep, sanding, and finishing.
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with composite fabrication, fiberglass, carbon fiber, or related materials.
  
• Experience with automotive bodywork, paint preparation, and surface finishing.
  
• Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
  
• Ability to read drawings, follow processes, and execute work independently.
  
• Ability to work closely with a small team and take direction when needed.
  
• Automotive enthusiasm and personal projects are strongly encouraged.
